    Chevron Corp. in August 2024 started oil and natural gas production from Anchor field in the deepwater US Gulf of Mexico. Development of Anchor, which lies 225 km off the Louisiana coast, was launched in December 2019 and consists of a system of subsea wells connected to a semi-submersible FPU with a production capacity of 75,000 b/d of oil and 28 MMcfd of gas.
