Stordal named acting director general, Norwegian Petroleum Directorate

Torgeir Stordal, director of technology, analysis, and coexistence in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, has been appointed to serve as acting director general, effectively immediately. Stordal succeeds Ingrid Sølvberg, who has resigned from the position for one in the private business sector.

Solvberg was appointed to the position in October 2019 (OGJ Online, Oct. 19, 2019).

The director general position is a 6-year fixed-term engagement with the option of an additional 6-year period.
