Strike Energy names Hoffmann as acting chief executive

Strike Energy Ltd. has appointed non-executive director Jill Hoffmann as acting chief executive officer following the resignation of Stuart Nicholls. 

Nicholls stepped step down from the board of directors Jan. 16 and will resign as chief executive officer on Feb. 14, 2025, after nearly 8 years with the company. 

Hoffmann will remain in the role while a search is conducted for a permanent chief executive “with the skillset and experience to drive the next phase of the company’s growth as it becomes a significant player in the Watern Australia Gas and electricity markets,” the company said in a release Jan. 16. Hoffmann has been appointed as executive director to oversee and manage the chief executive transition and strategic review process. 

Hoffmann has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, including executive directorships and 12 years in senior executive roles with Woodside Energy Ltd.
