Equinor has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for well 6407/1-8 S & A in PL 263 D in the Norwegian Sea.
The exploration well, the first to be drilled in the license, will be drilled from the West Hercules semisubmersible drilling rig about 9 km east of Maria field it concludes drilling well 34/11-24 S for Equinor in PL 248 C.
The area in the license consists of part of Block 6407/1.
Equinor is operator with 80%. Pandion Norge holds 20%.
