Aker BP granted consent for North Sea exploration

Aker BP ASA has been granted consent by the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway for exploration drilling of the Overly prospect in the North Sea.

Well 2/8-19 will be drilled in production license (PL) 1085 by the Maersk Invincible in 69 m of water. Expected drilling duration is 16 days if it’s a dry hole or 21 extra days if there is a discovery.

Aker BP is operator of PL 1085 (55%) with partners DNO Norge AS (25%) and Petoro AS (20%).
