Aker BP granted North Sea exploration permit

Aker BP has been granted an exploration drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for wells 25/2-23 S and 25/2-23 A in the Grefesenkollen/Øst Frigg prospect in the North Sea.

The wells will be in production license (PL) 873, Block 25/2, and will be drilled by the Deepsea Nordkapp semisubmersible rig operated by Odfjell Drilling.

Aker BP is operator at PL 873 (40%) with partners Equinor Energy AS (40%) and LOTOS Exploration and Production Norge AS (20%).
