Repsol resumed exploration in the Murzuq basin by spudding the A1-2/130 (Neser Prospect) exploratory well 800 km from Tripoli and 12 km from Sharara oil field.
On Dec. 31, 2024, Repsol began drilling the well which will reach 6,050 ft final depth. The company will test the Memonyat formation.
