Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has extended its contract with Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. for the Siem Helix 2 for work offshore Brazil.
The initial 4-year contract has been extended by 1 year at a reduced rate reflective of the current market, the service provider said in a release Dec. 12. Siem Helix 2 is now set to remain under contract with Petrobras until mid-December 2022 performing riser-based well intervention activities.
