State Oil Co. of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has resumed operations at two units within its 239,000-b/d Heydar Aliyev (formerly New Baku) refinery in Baku, Azerbaijan, following installation and repair work.
As of Apr. 9, repairs and installations related to catalytic reforming and coking units at the refinery have been completed, with both units now operating normally, the company said.
Work on the units included installation of a reactor, furnace pipe cleaning, and coil drain pipe repairs, SOCAR said.
But major work remains under way on the refinery’s catalytic cracking unit, which produces high-octane gasoline, the company said.
Current production rates for the Heydar Aliyev plant were not disclosed.
