New Fortress Energy Inc. has begun LNG production at its initial floating natural gas liquefaction plant offshore Altamira, Mexico.
NFE’s Fast LNG design pairs advancements in modular liquefaction technology with jack up rigs or similar offshore infrastructure to enable a faster deployment schedule than traditional liquefaction plants, the company said.
With a production capacity of 1.4 million tonnes/year, FLNG completes the vertical integration of NFE’s LNG portfolio, the company continued.
