Tim Shea
As a senior analyst at ARC, Tim's current research focus involves analytics in O&G operations. Tim’s focus areas also include upstream oil and gas operational activities in support of the Digital Oilfield including multiphase flow metering, oilfield operations management systems, artificial lift optimization, leak detection systems, drilling optimization, and general field devices such as radar and ultrasonic level measurement devices, and pressure transmitters, among others.
Prior to ARC, Tim worked for more than 15 years as a Senior Analyst with VDC Research Group. During this time, he covered a number of different industrial automation technology markets including process level measurement and inventory tank gauging technologies, pressure transmitters and transducers, pressure switches, temperature transmitters and sensors, temperature switches, industrial networking products, automation products incorporating device/field networks, distributed remote I/O, data acquisition solutions, and temperature controllers. Tim also worked several years in the oil & gas industry at Iroquois Gas Transmission Systems, a limited partnership comprised of TransCanada Pipeline, Dominion Resources, and National Grid, among others. He also worked at PanEnergy which is now Duke Energy Field Services (via partnership between PanEnergy and Duke Energy Corp.). Tim is a graduate of Bentley University with a BS in Marketing and received his MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
