Armada platform topsides takes shape in U.K. yard

An integrated deck for U.K. North Sea Armada project, currently under development by British Gas plc, is taking shape at the Methil yard in Scotland of Trafalgar John Brown Oil & Gas Ltd. Armada platform will produce as much as 350 MMcfd of gas from Drake, Fleming, and Hawkins gas fields in the Central North Sea beginning October 1997. The deck is slated for completion this year and will weigh 10,700 metric tons.
