Chaparral Energy Inc. has changed its name to Canvas Energy Inc.
The privately held company will maintain its headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
As of fourth-quarter 2021, the company held about 231,000 net acres in Oklahoma in the oil and liquids-rich window of the Anadarko basin, according to a fourth-quarter investor presentation. The company re-started its operated drilling program in May 2021 (conservatively spud 6 wells in the year), bringing online four extended laterals in Canadian County in October 2021. Guidance for 2022 was not disclosed.
