Equinor has let an engineering services contract to Aker Solutions and LINK Arkitektur for electrification of oil and gas installations in the Halten, Tampen, and Grane-Balder areas on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The contract covers the design of a complete onshore facility (excluding high-voltage equipment) and includes grid connection, transmission lines, three transformer stations, and the laying of submarine cables. It includes a pre-FEED/FEED phase that is planned to be executed during 2025, as well as options related to the execution phase that are planned to be completed by 2030.

The electrification projects are in an early phase requiring significant work before final investment decisions in the various partnerships can be made. After that, the authorities must approve the projects.
