Strike Energy Ltd. has been granted a production license for West Erregulla gas field in Western Australia's north Perth basin by the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry, Regulation and Safety.
Award of Production License (PL) L25 further de-risks the path for field development, said Stuart Nicholls, Strike’s managing director and chief executive officer, in a release Aug. 15.
Strike is working towards a final investment decision later this year on an 87 terajoule/day gas development with midstream partner Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) providing gas processing and an export pipeline.
West Erregulla field contains an estimated gross 452 petajoule of 2P reserves plus 2C and contingent resources.
Strike Energy is operator of PL L25 (50%) in a 50-50 joint venture with Warrego Energy 469 Pty Ltd.
