Woodside enters frame agreement with Baker Hughes to support Australian LNG operations

Woodside Energy has entered into a 10-year services frame agreement with Baker Hughes in support of its LNG operations in Australia.

Woodside Energy has entered into a 10-year services frame agreement with Baker Hughes in support of its LNG operations in Australia. A value of the agreement was not disclosed.  

Under the agreement, Baker Hughes will provide spare parts and field service resources for onsite turbomachinery equipment maintenance and upgrades, equipment refurbishment and advanced digital asset performance services.

The two companies began partnering in the LNG sector in 1989. In 2021, Woodside let a contract to Baker Hughes for supply of high-efficiency gas turbine and compressor technology for the operator’s Pluto LNG train 2 project in Western Australia, which serves Woodside Energy’s Scarborough offshore gas project and provides LNG exports to countries across Asia. In 2022, the two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on possible decarbonizing solutions.
