Timor Resources drills discovery in Timor-Leste
Timor Resources Pty. Ltd. discovered oil and gas in the first exploration well drilled onshore in PSC TL OT 17 08 (Block A) in Timor-Leste.
The discovery represents the first find from the contract area. The exploration well was drilled after new insights from the onshore seismic survey, completed by Timor Resources in 2018-19. Schlumberger has logged the well.
The rig has moved to the next well location to spud the second exploration well before Dec. 25, 2021.
Timor Resources is operator in Block A with joint venture partner Timor Gap, the national oil company of Timor-Leste.
