Shell PLC let a contract to Subsea7 SA to decommission subsea infrastructure associated with floating production, storage, and offloading vessel (FPSO) Fluminense in Bijupirá and Salema fields, Campos basin, offshore Brazil.

Subsea7’s scope includes disconnection, recovery, and disposal of 10 flexible risers, three umbilicals, and nine mooring lines. Water depth at the site is 700 m.

Subsea7 installed risers and umbilicals for the fields 20 years ago. Offshore decommissioning work is planned to start in December 2023.
