Aker Solutions ASA has awarded Strohm BV a contract to supply carbon fiber-PA12 composite jumpers to support work being carried out at TotalEnergies SE’s Moho infill project in the Republic of the Congo. The jumpers will be delivered by end-2023.
The thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) will be provided in six lengths of 90 m each, with TCP fittings directly welded onto the diverless connectors, providing a seamless connection from end to end. The carbon fiber TCP is qualified to DNV-ST-F119 standards and designed to withstand pressures of up to 10,000 psi.
The contract is valued at €3-million ($3.28-million).
The Moho Nord subsea project, which became operational in 2017, is 75 km off the Congolese coast in water depths of 650-1,200 m. TotalEnergies last month let a contract to Aker Solutions for three additional infill wells. Work is expected to be complete first-quarter 2025 (OGJ Online, May 4, 2023).
Moho Nord and Moho Phase 1bis together produce 140,000 b/d of oil, more than half of Congo’s total output.
