Petronas Carigali (PC) Brunei let a site characterization survey contract to Fugro for the Kelidang cluster gas field development project in Block CA 2, offshore Brunei Darussalam, in 2,600 m of water.

Kelidang cluster is a conventional gas development consisting of Keratau and Kelidang North-East fields. Fugro will perform surveys to support the front-end engineering design for offshore production installations and pipelines to prospective buyers onshore. Geotechnical and geophysical data will be acquired using autonomous underwater vehicles and a seafloor geotechnical drill.

Most of the work will be executed during 2023 in different phases.

Petronas Carigali Brunei is operator of the cluster with partners Brunei National Petroleum Co. Sdn. Bhd., Shell plc, Mitsubishi Corp., Petroliam Nasional Bhd., and Murphy Oil Corp.
