Petrobras awards Sembcorp Marine P-82 FPSO contract

Petrobras has awarded a contract to Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters for construction of the 225,000-b/d P-82 floating production, storage, and offloading vessel.

Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has awarded a contract to Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters for construction of the 225,000-b/d P-82 floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel. Scheduled for completion in 2026, P-82 will be the tenth platform to be installed at Buzios field in presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil.

P-82 will 12 million cu m/day of gas processing capacity, and 1.6 million bbl of crude oil storage. Petrobras plans a total of 12 FPSO for Buzios and to be producing 2 million boe/d from the field by the end of the decade.

Petrobras plans connection of 16 subsea wells for use with P-82, nine producers and seven injectors.
