Ten FPSOs will be installed in the presalt and five in the postsalt. The company has already placed 32 FPSOs into operation.

Petrobras plans to invest $5.5 billion in extraction, with emphasis on presalt oil discoveries in Central Alto de Cabo Frio and Aram areas. Of the investments outlined in the company’s strategic plan regarding new production frontiers, southeast basins (including presalt prospects) will receive 58% of resources, the Equatorial Margin will receive 38%, and other areas will receive 2%.

At the panel, the company noted plans to reduce presalt oil rig building times by 14% before 2024. Between 2018 and 2021, the company reduced the average rig building times to less than 70 days from 100 days.
