Petrobras extends contract for Tupi FPSO
Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has amended an agreement for the Cidade de Angra dos Reis floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel in Tupi field, Santos basin, to extend the charter by an additional 5 years to 2030.
In addition to extending the contractual term, the amendments aim to enable upgrades to the FPSO, which currently has production potential exceeding 50,000 b/d. Planned improvements are intended to enhance production reliability and efficiency, maintain platform integrity, operational safety, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the operator said. The Tupi consortium plans to decommission the unit in 2030.
Petrobras connects first well to Tupi pilot FPSO

The charter and service agreements were signed with Tupi Pilot MV 22 BV and Modec Serviços de Petróleo do Brasil Ltda.
