OKEA ASA entered the Brasse license in production license (PL) 740, 13 km from OKEA-operated Brage field and 13 km southeast of Oseberg Field Center, after signing a sale and purchase agreement with DNO Norge AS.

The effective date of the transaction is Jan. 1, 2023. The new partnership plans a fast-track, low-cost review to develop Brasse’s estimated 30 MMboe recoverable volumes.

Brasse is in 120 m of water. The discovery was made in 2016 and delineated by four wells drilled 2017-19. The reservoir contains oil with a gas cap in the Upper Jurassic Sognefjord Formation.

DNO is operator at PL740. After the transaction, DNO and OKEA will each hold 50% working interest in the license.
