DNO ASA restarted production at Trym field after a 5-year shutdown in PL147 in the Norwegian North Sea.

Trym is tied back to Tyra field in the Danish North Sea, and during the shutdown, Tyra operator TotalEnergies redeveloped the field infrastructure (OGJ Online, Apr. 8, 2024).

First commissioned in 2011, Trym is expected to contribute 3,000 boe/d net to DNO at plateau. Remaining reserves are estimated at 2 MMboe net to DNO.

Available capacity at the Trym subsea template holds further opportunities, the company said. DNO is currently assessing development of the 2013 Trym Sør discovery containing recoverable resources of about 2 MMboe net to DNO, possibly adding production in early 2027.

DNO also has identified nearby exploration prospects that may be drilled from the Trym subsea template, potentially extending its lifetime.

DNO is operator at Trym (50%) with partner Sval Energi AS (50%).
