Equinor granted permit for North Sea drilling

Equinor Energy AS had been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill wells 31/2-24 and 31/2-24 A in the North Sea.

Equinor Energy AS had been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill wells 31/2-24 and 31/2-24 A in the North Sea.

Wildcat 31/2-24 and appraisal 31/2-24 A will be drilled in production license (PL) 923 by the Deepsea Stavanger semi-submersible drilling rig. Well 31/2-24 is expected to spud in May 2023 and well 31/2-24 A is expected to spud in June 2023.

Equinor is operator of (PL) 923 with 40% interest. Partners are DNO Norge AS (20%), Petoro AS (20%), and Wellesley Petroleum AS (20%).
