SundaGas Banda Unipessoal Lda submitted an environmental impact statement (EIS) and environmental management plan (EMP) for drilling of the Chuditch-2 appraisal well on Timor-Leste Production Sharing Contract TL-SO-19-16.

SundaGas is planning to drill the well in second =quarter 2025. It will be a 5.1 km stepout from the discovery well and is expected to have a 149 m gas column.

The Chuditch PSC is about 185 km south of Timor-Leste, 100 km east of the producing Bayu-Undan field, and 50 km south of the Greater Sunrise potential development. It covers an area of about 3,571 sq km in 50-100 m of water and contains the Chuditch-1 gas discovery drilled by Shell in 1998.

The draft EIS and EMP, submitted to the Timor-Leste regulator Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo (ANP), incorporate results from the environmental baseline survey conducted at the location.

Public consultation will run for a statutory period of 14 days, after which SundaGas will submit final versions of these documents to ANP for review and approval.

SundaGas is operator of Timor-Leste TL-SO-19-16 PSC (60%) with partner Timor Gap EP (40%).
