Peak Petroleum lets rig contract for work offshore Nigeria
Peak Petroleum Industries Ltd. has let a contract to Dolphin Drilling Co. for use of the Blackford Dolphin semi-submersible drilling rig for work offshore Nigeria.
The rig will perform work in direct continuation of the the current 12-month contract with General Hydrocarbons Ltd. (GHL).
The contract has the potential to extend the rig's backlog by a minimum of 120 and up to 485 days, in addition to the existing GHL backlog. The effective dayrate associated with the minimum firm period is $325,000, including mobilization fee, the contractor said.
