ADNOC awards 5% Ghasha interest to OMV

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. and the government of Abu Dhabi have awarded OMV the last available nonstate interest in the Ghasha Concession for development of high-sulfur natural gas fields off the emirate.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. and the government of Abu Dhabi have awarded OMV the last available nonstate interest in the Ghasha Concession for development of high-sulfur natural gas fields off the emirate.

OMV will have a 5% interest in the concession, which covers Hail, Ghasha, Dalma, Nasr, Sarb, and Mubarraz fields.

ADNOC, which retains a 60% share of the concession, earlier awarded interests of 25% to Eni and 10% to Wintershall (OGJ Online, Nov. 26, 2018).
