INEOS lets contract for UK plant expansion
INEOS AG, Rolle, Switzerland, has let a contract to Fluor Corp. to provide front-end engineering and design for a processing plant at subsidiary INEOS Oxide’s manufacturing site at Saltend, near Hull, UK.
Once completed, the plant will produce 300,000 tonnes/year of vinyl acetate monomer, Fluor said.
FEED work will establish the design basis and technology selection for the plant with associated cost and schedule estimates, the service provider said.
While it disclosed neither a value of the order nor a timeframe for its work on the project, Fluor did confirm it booked the undisclosed FEED contract value during this year’s second quarter.
