Aux Sable Liquid Products Inc., Lisle, Ill., said operations began Dec. 1 at its gas liquids extraction and fractionation facilities in Channahon, Ill., in conjunction with the start-up of commercial service on the Alliance Pipeline system.
Aux Sable's facilities will process gas delivered through the Alliance line from Canada at an initial rate of up to 1.6 bcfd. It is expected to recover 40,000 b/d of ethane, 19,000 b/d of propane, 8,000 b/d of butane (normal and isobutane), and 3,000 b/d of natural gasoline.

Gish, chairman, president, and CEO of Aux Sable. "Aux Sable is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the US, and it will become a significant propane supplier for the Midwest, particularly for the state of Illinois and its neighboring states. The Aux Sable facilities will connect with existing product delivery pipelines that will also make NGL products available elsewhere in the US."
Aux Sable owners are affiliates of Coastal Corp. with 14.4%; Enbridge Inc., 21.4%; Fort Chicago Energy Partners LP, 26%; Williams, 14.6%; and Westcoast Energy Inc., 23.6%.
