WhiteWater Midstream, Austin, Tex., has reached a final investment decision (FID) to move forward with the construction of the Pelican Pipeline after having secured sufficient firm transportation agreements with shippers.

The pipeline is designed to transport up to 1.75 bfcd of natural gas through about 170 miles of 36-in. OD pipeline from Williams, La., to the Gillis Hub near Ragley, La. Supply for the Pelican Pipeline will be sourced from multiple upstream connections in the Haynesville basin, including direct connections to processing infrastructure, the company said in a release Oct. 31.

The Pelican Pipeline is expected to be in service in first-half 2027, pending the receipt of customary regulatory and other approvals.

WhiteWater has partnered with FIC, Stonepeak, and Trace Capital Management on the Pelican Pipeline.
