Houston, has named Rick Luke as chief financial officer. Luke is a certified public accountant with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and an MBA from Oklahoma State University. He has more than 22 years of experience, with tenures in England, Nigeria, Gabon, and Tunisia.

Houston, has named Andrew Lane as chief operating officer and executive vice-president. The company's Energy Services Group and KBR Engineering and Construction Group will no longer have business unit CEOs, and the vice-presidents of those groups will report to Lane.

Lane, who joined Halliburton in 1984, most recently served as CEO at KBR. He had previously held senior management positions with the Energy Services Group, and with Landmark Graphics, where he was president and CEO. After earning a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University, Lane began his oil and gas industry career as a field engineer with Gulf Oil Corp.

Halliburton, founded in 1919, is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the petroleum and energy industries.

Houston, has appointed Mark Courtney and Jeff Fawcett as vice-presidents for sales in North America, and Paul Turner as vice-president of European sales.

Courtney holds a bachelor's degree in economics, and an MBA in international finance from Rice University, and has 16 years of experience in energy investment banking, pipelines, and commodities.

Fawcett has worked with El Paso Natural Gas Co., Mojave Pipeline Operating Co., El Paso Energy Marketing, Transwestern Pipeline Co., and Sempra Energy Co. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, and an MBA from Texas State University.

Turner has a BS degree in chemistry from the University of Leicester, and an MBA from London City University. He has served with Unilever, Rhone-Poulenc Chemical, Enron Europe, and most recently with BHP Billiton in the Netherlands.

Laramie, Wyo., has announced the appointment of Wayne Greenberg as chief executive officer and member of the board. Greenberg is former president of Financial Times Energy, a division of the Financial Times Group of London.

WellDog Inc., founded in 1999, develops chemical sensing technologies for unconventional natural gas exploration and production. Its services give coalbed natural gas developers information needed to determine which wells will deliver the most natural gas in the shortest amount of time.

Fishback has worked as a petroleum landman at Cornay-Lowry Land & Abstract Inc.
