Spire to acquire MoGas, Omega pipeline systems from CorEnergy
Spire Inc. has agreed to acquire MoGas and Omega pipeline systems from CorEnergy Infrastructure Trust Inc. for about $175 million in cash.
MoGas is a 263-mile interstate natural gas transmission and distribution system providing service to markets in Missouri and Illinois. MoGas has pipeline receipt and delivery interconnects with Mississippi River Transmission Corp., Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Co., Rockies Express Pipeline, and Spire STL Pipeline.
Omega is a 75-mile natural gas distribution system primarily serving the US Army’s Fort Leonard Wood in south-central Missouri through a long-term contract with the Department of Defense. In addition, Omega provides natural gas marketing services to several customers in the surrounding area.
The deal is expected to close in this year’s third quarter, subject to anti-trust clearance and customary closing conditions.
