Eastbound gas from Chayandinskoye field in Yakutia has reached the border gas metering station near Blagoveshchensk.
Gas next will be fed to the border crossing under the Amur River.
Meanwhile, drilling of production wells at Kovyktinskoye field in the Irkutsk region southwest of Chayandinskoye is under way. Kovyktinskoye gas will start entering the pipeline early in 2023.
The 3,000-km, 55-in. pipeline has capacity of 38 billion cu m/year.
