QatarEnergy LNG lets compression contract for North Field Bravo
QatarEnergy LNG has let an offshore contract to Larsen & Toubro Ltd. Hydrocarbon Business for the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4) about 80 km off the northeast coast of Qatar.
The scope of work encompasses engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of two offshore compression complexes. Each complex has a large offshore platform with compression and power generation, living quarters, flare platforms, interconnected bridges, and other associated structures.
North Field Bravo (NFB) produces 1.6 bcfd of natural gas from 26 wells. The wet gas is dehydrated on the platforms and then transported through subsea pipelines to an onshore LNG train.
