Shell PLC has awarded Wood a 6-year contract to provide brownfield engineering, procurement, and construction management for the operator’s 5.3-million tonne/year (tpy) Prelude floating LNG (FLNG) plant offshore Western Australia.

​Prelude is stationed at Browse basin in 250 m of water. It can produce 3.6 million tpy of LNG, 1.4 million tpy of condensate, and 400,000 tpy of LPG. Ownership is divided between Shell (67.5%), INPEX (17.5%), CPC (5%), and KOGAS (10%).
