Recent exploration has turned up more oil in Pennsylvanian Lansing-Kansas City in Dundy County, Neb., and adjacent counties along the Cambridge arch.

Advantage Resources Inc., Denver, opened Acorn field in 33-2n-37w in 1995.

The discovery well had pumped 28,644 bbl of oil and 19,633 bbl of water through February 1997, Petroleum Information/Dwights LLC reported.

Advantage planned to reenter a well northwest of the discovery this fall and attempt completion in Lansing-Kansas City "D zone." And Berexco Inc., Wichita, staked a quarter mile north offset to Advantage's Acorn field discovery well.

Another active field is Hoover field in 3n-38w. Discovered in 1988, it contained 10 producing wells as of early 1997.

Kaler Oil Co., Gainesville, Tex., operates Hoover field. PI reported that the field has produced more than 100,000 bbl of oil and 123,000 bbl of water through May. Kaler recently staked a 4,670 ft Lansing-Kansas City test in 5-3n-38w, 1/2 mile northeast of the field.

Hewitt Family Partnership, Denver, opened Pleasant Valley field in 1996. The discovery well, in 13-2n-39w, 5 miles east-northeast of Parks field, pumped 46-48 b/d from Lansing-Kansas City, PI reported.

Hewit plans to drill a 5,100 ft granite test in 12-1n-36w, Dundy County, about 1/2 mile north of the abandoned 1982 Burntwood Creek field discovery well that produced oil and water from Lansing for a short time.

In neighboring Cheyenne County, Kan., Cambrian Oil Corp., Wichita, completed and confirmed a Lansing-Kansas City discovery about 17 miles southwest of Dundy County's Parks field.

It is Nutty Combe field, with producing wells in 25-1s-42w and 30-1s-41w. Lansing-Kansas City is at about 4,760 ft in the area. The wells were staked as 5,700 ft tests of Cambrian Reagan, PI reported.

An independent plans to drill a D-J basin deep test in Colorado about 20 miles northwest of Dundy County's northwest corner.

Antelope Energy, Kimball, Neb., has plans for a 6,100 ft Paleozoic wildcat in 21-11n-46w, Sedgwick County, Colo., Rocky Mountain Oil Journal, Denver, reported.
