Technip, Paris, France, has named Daniel Valot chairman and chief executive officer, succeeding Pierre Vaillaud who has retired.

Technip, Paris, France, has named Daniel Valot chairman and chief executive officer, succeeding Pierre Vaillaud who has retired. Vaillaud, who will remain as a director on the board of Technip, has been granted the title of honorary chairman.

Valot has been president and chief operating office of Technip since May 1999. From 1995 to 1999 he was president, Total Exploration and Production and a member of the Total Group executive committee.

Foster Associates, Inc. has opened an office in Columbia, Tenn., and has named William W. Wade director.

Wade specializes in policy and litigation issues related to resources: water supplies, fossil fuels, land use, and environmental quality. He heads the firm's San Francisco and Middle Tennessee offices and a group of resource economists.

Wade has 23 years of consulting experience, working on numerous energy production, refining, and marketing projects in Calif., Alaska, and the Gulf Coast.

LICENERGY, Houston, Tex., a provider of knowledge based IT solutions for the management of pipeline systems, has named Gene A. Hammons president and CEO. Hammons will be responsible for the future development and growth of LICENERGY's activities in North America and Latin America.

Hammons has 27 years experience in the oil & gas industry. He has extensive knowledge of pipeline operations, with particular emphasis on optimizing operational efficiency and the maximization of commercial benefits.

Hammons was previously employer by Burlington Resources Inc., a large independent energy company, where he has been responsible for the transportation of natural gas on all major gas transmissions in the USA and for the management of gathering systems from gas wells. Hammons eventually acted as vice president of marketing at Burlington Resources with responsibility for the global marketing of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquid.

USF Filtration & Separations, St. Paul, Minn., has named Paul Ignaut sales manager for their Niagara Screen Polymer Group. Ignaut will be based in Houston and will be responsible for developing the polymer business in the southern and western U.S. He will also support development of the product line in Latin America. The Polymer Group produces a broad line of wire mesh and other industrial screen products in their St. Catharines, Ontario and Texas facilities.

Ignaut has 22 years of experience in the wire cloth industry. He has been involved in sales, customer service, purchasing, production control and scheduling. Most recently he was general manager for a wire cloth company in the Houston area.

USF Filtration & Separations is a subsidiary of Paris-based Vivendi, a global provider of commercial, industrial, municipal and residential water and wastewater treatment systems, products and services, with operations in more than 100 countries. Vivendi is a provider of environmental services as well as a major player in Europe's communications industry.

CRC Evans Pipeline International, Inc., Houston, Tex., has named Duncan Fuller director of sales and marketing to manage sales and marketing of concrete weighting products. Fuller was previously with Allan Edwards, Inc., for over twenty years, including fifteen years as president. His experience includes international work in Africa and Latin America.

CRC Evans entered the concrete weighting business in 1998 with the acquisition of the assets of B.L. Key Services. B.L. Key Services now functions as CRC Key, Inc., an operating unit of the CRC Evans Concrete Services Division.

CRC Evans is a supplier of equipment and services to the pipeline industry. The company manufactures pipeline construction equipment, provides automatic welding systems, and offers field-joint coating and heat-treatment services. In addition, the company manufactures pipeline rehabilitation, laybarge, and coating plant systems. CRC Evans is an LG&E Co. with corporate offices located in Houston, Tex., and its manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Okla. LG&E Energy is a diversified energy services company headquartered in Louisville, Ky.

Gerald Lamb joins Mustang having had more than 30 years process engineering experience with an emphasis on all phases of refinery facilities, including grassroots development and revamp projects.

Steve Dicks has more than 25 years experience in purchasing management, construction, contract administration and maintenance.

Lanny Magee has more than 35 years experience that includes engineering management and project management on revamp, relocation and grassroots construction projects.

Larry Peterson has more than 20 years experience in the petroleum and petrochemical industries which includes project management responsibilities for the front-end design, detailed design and construction of major domestic and international projects.
