High performance butterfly valve
This new BHP high performance butterfly valve provides a variety of seating options that features full bidirectional sealing in a range of uses including viscous and corrosive liquids, corrosive gases, and steam.
The Intelli-Seal extratight metal seat is designed to provide high performance and trouble free operation in clean or semiscaling applications. The metal to metal seat provides tight shutoff in heat transfer applications with hot process lines and recirculating fluids. The valve exceeds DIN 3230 Leakage Rate 1, FCI 70-2/ANSI B16.104 Class VI, and API 598 7th Edition. Proprietary hardened surfaces (RC85) help ensure sealing durability and performance over time. Cryogenic and high temperature options help suit it for operation in temperatures from -320° F. (-196° C.) to +1,000° F. (540° C.).
The stainless steel metal seat provides economy in corrosive applications where tight shutoff is not a primary requirement. The seat provides FCI 70-2/ANSI B16.104 Class IV or V shutoff at temperatures from 700° F. to over 1,000° F. For lower temperature applications (to 450° F.), an economical metal seated valve can be specified with lower temperature bearings and packing.

Data management suite for gas custody transfer
The Barton data management suite (BDMS) is a fully integrated suite of software for EFM/RTU remote auto- mation of natural gas custody transfer data collection and management with the Barton Scanner 1100 Series of flow computers. When BDMS is used with the new Barton Scanner 1131-now 386 based-it promises a state of the art hardware/software measurement solution offering computational power, communications ability, memory, and I/O operations.
At the heart of the unit is Scanbase 2.0, which manages data from a PC for custody trail audits with remote field operation through graphical viewing, editing, data analysis, and historical data archiving. ScanCom transfers EFM and scada data from the RTUs, ScanDDE links RTU data to DDE compliant applications, and ScanPol polls historical data from field EFMs.
Barton ScanOp, the newest addition to BDMS, provides a simple field interface for communication with RTUs to collect system, hardware, and flow run data at the well site in a format that operators may find easy to access, download, and view.

Pipe, vessel inspection
This firm`s pipe inspection system uses electromagnetic acoustic transduction generated ultrasound to generate a complete volumetric examination of tubulars and pressure vessels. The system is suited for use as an alternative to random ultrasonic spot wall thickness measurements on in situ live process piping as well as oil country tubular goods material.
The company provides 100% volumetric ultrasonic inspection from a single contact point without couplant or rotation. It`s system determines remaining wall thickness at pipe supports, and detects cracks, pitting, and corrosion, regardless of location within the tube. Hard-copy archivable test results are produced.
The system can be used to inspect alloys or mild steel; reformers, heaters; and 2 in. through 42 in. OD pipe.

System alerts alarm conditions quickly by phone
The new ADAS DiaLog alarm monitoring and notification system automatically phones or pages up to 16 separate numbers from a single or series of alarm conditions. It continues to call, giving user recorded messages, until all alarms are acknowledged, helping ensure that appropriate personnel are notified of critical conditions.
DiaLog alarms are activated by changes in conditions or controls at pump stations, water/wastewater plants, compressor stations, cellular telephone sites, fire and security systems, computer rooms, and other remote or unattended operations.
Features include notification via phone, pager, radio, or modem; callback alarm acknowledgment; remote programming; remote call in for status; NEMA 4X enclosure; up to 40 alarm points monitored continuously; event logging; 24 hr battery backup; surge and power loss protection; local programming via keypad; and local visual display of system and alarm status.
