Pierce has more than twenty years of experience, in which the last sixteen were managing financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations for GulfMark Offshore, Inc., a publicly held offshore vessel company.
Tom Godfrey has been named vice president, ship repair. Godfrey has more than twenty years of experience in ship repair and new construction management. He has held many senior-level positions in the industry and most recently was president & CEO, Colonna's Shipyard, Inc., Norfolk, Va.

Sugar Land, Tex., has named J.D. Dyess director of business development.
Dyess will be responsible for the development of global business opportunities in targeted petroleum markets served by Baker Petrolite. Those markets include oil and gas production, gas and fluids pipelines, refineries and petrochemical plants. Dyess will work closely with the management of Baker Petrolite operating groups to identify emerging business opportunities as well as integration of Baker Hughes Inc. into these markets.
