Invensys Software Systems
Herndon, Va., has named Joe Cowan as president of its reorganized Invensys Process Systems. The new product group will include Wonderware and the products previously making up the Process Systems group.
In related moves, Invensys has organized four regional business units.
Don Sorterup has been appointed president of Invensys Process Systems Europe/Middle East/Africa. He also is vice-president of global accounts. Mike Caliel is president of Invensys Process Systems North America, Ricardo Agostinelli was named president of Invensys Process Systems Latin America, and W.C. Lee will serve as president of Invensys Software Systems Asia Pacific.
Invensys Software Systems, a division of Invensys plc, focuses on delivering integrated automation, information, and supply chain solutions to businesses in a broad range of industries.

Osborn International
Cleveland, Ohio, has appointed Vageesh Bakhshi as product manager for its North American business. Bakhshi holds a bachelor's degree in marketing, and an MBA from Cleveland State University.
Osborn International is a manufacturer of power brushes and maintenance products. A unit of Jason Inc., Osborn has manufacturing facilities in 13 countries, and serves customers in over 90 countries.

Houston, has acquired USFilter's Gas Technology Products (GTP) business of Schaumburg, Ill., a company involved in sulfur emission reduction and control systems in the hydrocarbon processing industry.
Merichem Chemicals & Refinery Services, a subsidiary of Merichem Co., serves the chemical, refining, and pump and paper industries worldwide.
USFilter, headquartered in Palm Desert, Calif., is a provider of water and wastewater treatment systems, products, and services in more than 100 countries.
GTP has provided technology, services, and catalysts to the oil and gas industry for over 25 years.
TW Metals Ltd.
Southampton, UK, has appointed Steve Jones as head of group sales and marketing. In his new role, Jones is responsible for sales and marketing in the UK, Europe, and the Far East.
Jones has a BS in materials science, a PhD in corrosion science and engineering from UMIST, and an MBA from Sheffield Hallam University.
TW Metals is involved in the worldwide metals distribution and processing industry. The company provides products and services to clients in industries ranging from aerospace and automotive to chemical processing.
US Inspection Services
Dayton, Ohio, has appointed Jim Bailey president.
He previously served as vice-president of sales and marketing for MWS Inspection and Conam Inspection.
Bailey is an economics graduate of Grand Valley State University.
In another development, US Inspection has announced the opening of a comprehensive materials testing laboratory in the Allvac Richburg, SC, facility.
US Inspection operates 11 full-service testing facilities throughout the U.S.
EDS
Plano, Tex., has named Tina M. Sivinski vice-president of its Global Energy Industries Group. In that role, she will be based in Houston and oversee the company's relationships in the oil and gas, chemical, utilities, and mining industries.
Before joining EDS, Sivinski served as vice-president of strategic marketing, sales and business development for GrandBasin, a Halliburton Company affiliate. She is a graduate of Springfield College in Massachusetts, and participated in the Executive Development Program at Rice University.
EDS is a global services company, providing strategy, implementation, and hosting for clients managing business and technology complexities of the digital economy.
UWG Group
Norwich and Aberdeen, UK, has appointed Scott Gauld as regional manager for the Middle East region. Based in Dubai, UAE, Gauld has over 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including engineering positions with Expro North Sea, Cooper Cameron, and Schlumberger. He was area sales manager in Johannesburg, South Africa, for Expro International Group prior to joining UWG.
The UWG Group comprises UWG Ltd., Team Energy Resources Ltd., Claxton Engineering Ltd., and 2H Offshore. It provides equipment and engineering solutions for rigless well decommissioning, subsea structures, fixed and flexible riser analysis, and well construction project management.
