Van’t Hof to succeed Stice as Diamondback Energy CEO
Diamondback Energy Inc., Midland, Tex., has named Kaes Van’t Hof, the company’s current president, to succeed Travis Stice as chief executive officer. Van’t Hof also will join the board of directors.
Stice, who has led Diamondback as chief executive officer since January 2012 and joined the board of directors in November 2012, intends to step down as chief executive officer effective as of the company’s 2025 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. At that time, he will transition to executive chairman of the board. He will remain as executive chairman through the company’s 2026 annual meeting of stockholders.
Effective today, Jere Thompson, current executive vice-president of strategy and corporate development, will assume the role of executive vice-president and chief financial officer.
