Trans Mountain Corp., Calgary, has appointed Mark Maki, currently Trans Mountain’s chief financial and strategy officer, to the role of chief executive officer, effective Sept. 1, 2024.
He will succeed Dawn Farrell, who has been appointed chair of the board upon the retirement of William (Bill) Downe on Sept. 1, 2024. Farrell was appointed as chief executive officer in August 2022 (OGJ Online, Aug. 10, 2022).
Maki has served as the company’s chief financial and strategy officer of Trans Mountain since 2020. Maki has held senior executive roles in both the US and Canada and holds expertise in the midstream industry, including nearly 34 years at Enbridge, including as president of Enbridge Energy Partners LP in the US.
The board has also approved the appointment of Michael Davies to the role of president and chief operating officer, effective Sept. 1, 2024. Davies currently holds the role of chief operating officer at Trans Mountain, with more than 34 years of experience at the company.
