Sasol has appointed Walt Bruns as chief financial officer and executive director of Sasol Ltd., effective Sept. 1, 2024. Bruns is currently chief financial officer of Sasol Southern Africa including Energy and Chemicals.
Bruns succeeds Hanré Rossouw, who will step down as chief financial officer and executive director on Aug. 31, 2024. Rossouq will remain with Sasol as an executive advisor until Oct. 31. Rossouw was named chief financial officer of the company in 2021 (OGJ Online, July 1, 2021).
Bruns’ career at Sasol spans more than 15 years in a variety of senior management positions across different functions and geographic locations, including more than 3 years as chief financial officer of Sasol’s global chemicals business and planning and optimization roles in both Germany and South Africa. Prior to joining Sasol, he worked for Deloitte in South Africa and the US.
