Gibson Energy Inc., Calgary, has appointed Curtis Philippon as the company’s new president and chief executive officer, effective Aug. 29, 2024.
Philippon brings over 20 years’ experience in the North American energy sector. He joined Certarus as vice-president of finance and chief financial officer in June 2014 and progressed to president and chief executive officer in November 2016. He was named executive vice-president of Superior Plus in February 2024.
Gibson is a liquids infrastructure company with its principal businesses consisting of the storage, optimization, processing, and gathering of liquids and refined products. The company’s operations are spread across North America, with core terminal assets in Hardisty and Edmonton, Alta., Ingleside, Tex., and Moose Jaw, Saska.
