Indonesia Energy names new COO

Indonesia Energy Corp. has appointed Mirza Said as the company’s chief operating officer, effective Jan. 16.

Indonesia Energy Corp. Ltd. (IEC) has appointed Mirza Said as the company’s chief operating officer, effective Jan. 16. Said previously served as the chief business development officer.

Charlie Wu has been appointed chief technology officer. He previously served as IEC's chief operating officer.

In the coming weeks, IEC expects to provide additional details regarding a plan to ramp up drilling activity this year. The company said it is focused on delivering a “new and enhanced” development program at its currently producing Kruh block onshore Sumatra, leveraging exploratory work done in 2023, as well as working toward early commercialization of the Citarum block on the island of Java.
