Miller named BSEE regional director, Alaska region

The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) has selected Justin Miller to serve as the new regional director of BSEE’s Alaska region.

The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) has selected Justin Miller to serve as the new regional director of BSEE’s Alaska region.

Miller will oversee over one billion acres on the Outer Continental Shelf and more than 6,000 miles of coastline and will lead a team of petroleum engineers, structural engineers, geologists, geophysicists, environmental scientists, and administrative staff. The Alaska region encompasses the Beaufort, Bering, and Chukchi Seas, Cook Inlet, and the Gulf of Alaska.

Miller began his federal career with Department of the Interior at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). He has more than 13 years of experience in regulatory oversight of the oil and gas industry, most of which has been in Alaska. Most recently he served as the Chief of the Resource and Economic Analysis Section for BOEM Alaska.
