Enbridge Inc. has appointed Greg Ebel as president and chief executive officer to succeed Al Monaco who has elected to retire his positions and seat on the board of directors effective Jan. 1, 2023.
Ebel, who has served as the company’s board chair since February 2017, will continue as a member of the board of directors. A new independent board chair will be named prior to Jan. 1, 2023. Ebel served as chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Spectra Energy from 2009 until Feb. 27, 2017.
Monaco has served as chief executive officer of Enbridge for over a decade and has been an employee of the company for 27 years. To support the executive transition, he will serve as an advisor until Mar. 1, 2023.
