Petrobras approves election of new CEO

Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has elected José Mauro Ferreira Coelho to the position of chief executive officer for a 1-year term, succeeding Joaquim Silva e Luna (OGJ Online, Apr. 16, 2021).

In 2020-2021, José Mauro Ferreira Coelho served as Secretary of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels at the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and has, since 2020, served as chairman of the board of directors of Empresa Brasileira de Administração de Petróleo e Gás Natural SA (PPSA).
